Beta Paramita is an Associate Professor of Architecture at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Her research interests include sustainable cities and green buildings, with a focus on building performance and outdoor thermal comfort. She currently serves on the board of IBPSA-ID (Indonesia chapter) and is actively involved in the Research Resilience Initiative (RDI), which concentrates on community, environmental change, and sustainable development. She founded Pendidikan Hijau (Green Education), a movement that integrates building performance-based design into the architectural design process. In 2022, she won the Million Cool Roofs Challenge and established the start-up BeCool Indonesia. In 2023, she was recognized as an outstanding lecturer at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Among her achievements is the development of RAFLESIA, a solar reflective house made from metal panels with 90% solar emissivity and 72.9% solar reflectance.
