Niramon Serisakul earned a BA in architecture from Chulalongkorn University and an MA and Ph.D in city planning from Tokyo University.

Since 2005, she has taught urban design at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Chulalongkorn University.  She is a lecturer on planning at Chulalongkorn University. She initiated the Gudee Jin-Klong San restoration project in 2009 in conjunction with local community organisations, as well as outside development agencies such as the Siam Architects association, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

Currently, aside from teaching, she is a co-founder and director of Urban Design and Development Center (UddC) and leads several significant urban regeneration projects such as The Bangkok 250 Project (bangkok250.org) produced a strategy for regeneration of inner-city Bangkok, the Yannawa Riverfront Project (yannawariverfront.org) was conceived as a way to regenerate public space along the Chao Phraya River, the Regeneration of Rachadamnoen Avenue,  and in addition to urban advocacy, another important area of work of UddC is research as part of the GoodWalk Thailand Project (goodwalk.org), which uses open big data to improve understanding and analysis of the situation, and generate recommended interventions to make Bangkok more pedestrian-friendly and inclusive.
